This event is part of the Write Time Festival 2025 organised by Fingal County Council Libraries.

Crime writer Gill Perdue, bestselling author of the Shaw & Carmody series, will be in conversation in Balbriggan Library with award-winning author Sam Blake. The series concerns two Garda detectives who are also Specialist Victim Interviewers. The job of the SVI is to prepare video statements for vulnerable witnesses, thereby saving them the trauma of testifying in court. Gill’s latest book, The Night I Killed Him, has gained great reviews and praise from audiences and authors alike. Join us for a fascinating chat about Gill’s work between two hugely successful purveyors of Irish Crime.

To reseve a space please contact the library hosting the event or see the Write Time Festival 2025 on eventbrite.
