Panelists from different backgrounds and genres will talk about fair pay, supplementary work and how much of a writing career is actually spent writing. Best-selling author Sam Blake, AKA Vanessa Fox O’Loughlin, is a multi-hyphenate champion of Irish literature and Irish writing careers, founder of The Inkwell Group and Writing.ie. Claire Hennessy is an author, creative writing mentor and YA literature contributor for the Irish Times. Alan Nolan is a children’s books writer, illustrator and workshop facilitator. These experienced panelists will offer insights into the business side of a writing career, not to be missed by those interested in writing as a job.
