The Climbing Boys with Ann Murtagh (Donabate)

Join children’s author Ann Murtagh as she shines a light on the amazing lives of children in the past in her book The Climbing Boys, set in Dublin in 1830. ‘Climbing Boy’ Scholar O’Dare is forced to leave school and work with his brothers cleaning chimneys. He crosses paths with another climbing boy living in dire circumstances. Will Scholar be able to save this boy? This is a story of hardship but also one of friendship and hope.
