How can historical or contemporary documents be used directly, without authorial ‘voiceover’, to make vibrant, innovative poetry?

Author and illustrator Shane Hegarty will chair this panel of writers discussing what everyone in the arts wants to know, but nobody wants to ask about - getting paid.

Are you up to your oxters with writing ideas? Are stories and poems music to your ears? Have you been wanting to write for donkey’s years? Have you more ideas than you could shake a stick at, but no idea how or where to start??

Rhythm is one of the traditional concerns of poetry. It communicates movement, mode and mood. But traditional metres may not match contemporary experience, and almost certainly do not if we want to imagine the future.
